Now, theres a longer story (hard to believe with all the pages and photos already here) about the boat having been stolen in 2010. And when we received it for charter, the name, which had been removed by the thieves, had not yet been replaced. So we took care of business.
That taken care of, we got to the business of life at sea. Starting with a good healthy, nutritious breakfast. Of Froot Loops and icing. Why do you think Mason's hair is standing on end?
After that, its time to plot a course and head for the open sea! But thats another page. Here, Mrs Skipper and the mate make our plans.
Once the sailing is done, its back into the cabin for perhaps a little art...
...or rum drinks. This being our first day, Leslie naturally looks a little nervous, but for the rest of our voyage, she had an expression much more like mine.
Some days, there is cause for extra celebration, such as Jackies birthday.
Christmas...ho, ho, ho.
Or the arrival of Deb and Kate, who joined us after a week.
Kate got right in to the spirit of all the aspects of sailing life, from both the more refined to the more...well...piratey.
Regardless, theres always a moment aboard the Divine Wind for a little hug. Er..for the ladies. Us men pirates dont hug.
Or for building your own robot. That is of course only if you have someone incredibly organized like Leslie aboard who travels with robot parts.
