The day after Christmas - our neighbors Shelly, Rolf and Micah joined us for a trip across the sound to Bainbridge Island.  The weather was BEAUTIFUL - something of particular appreciation to a new Seattle resident.

Lyell and Micah found more than a few ways to have fun...

And to get into trouble (these doors open to the outside of the ferry and let all the cold air into the warm passenger compartment)...

On the island, the Read boys had to take the traditional walk down the pier to see the boats.  Sigh...
