We continued north.  Well inside the Arctic Circle.  And north of the treeline, to Kirkenes.  It is a sturdy and somewhat desolate town at the top of Scandinavia - and all I can say is I'm glad we were not there in the winter.  Yikes!  But its where we met the Finnmarken, our home for the next 4 days.  Lots of room for the canoe aboard the Finnmarken.

And we even got to ride on an elevator in the ship.  Wow.  My only question in this photo is why the man in orange is holding his head.  Hopefully it isn't something I did...

All loaded up, here we are, ready to begin the Norwegian portion of our adventure.
