So the next day we wandered Cannes in search of the perfect beach.  Along the way we stopped to do some other good things.  Like ride the carousel.

Give the mama a kiss on her birthday while trying out - imagine this - another beach.

Tour the old town of Cannes.  It is a lovely walking area with winding brick streets, tiny shops and good smelling restaurants. 

And generally enjoy spring. 

For those of you curious about what Mason is holding, it probably merits a footnote here.  When we set out for this day's adventure, the trash guys were just emptying the dumpsters in front of our building.  The boys stopped to watch, as of course 3 and 5 year old boys will do any time there is a loud truck in action.  And it turns out the trash guys had rescued a toy train from the trash, which they presented to Mason in appreciation of his audience.  It was definitely the treasure of the trip.
