Well - with two people still under 4 feet tall (though not for long - yikes!) we're not much for a crazy New Year's Eve party. So we had to get things going a little on the early side. Fortunately the city of Geneva was very organized and had a Rallye (in the US we'd call this a Scavenger Hunt - but hey - when in Rome). Anyway - we had to wander the old city and find points of interest. Here Jules and I found a point of interest.
And then we found another. The second actually was interesting - and Im not talking about the balloon. The old cathedral in Geneva is absolutely gorgeous and completely open to the public. Not only can you climb to the top and get the dramatic views but you can see the attics and the way it was built. Its a great stop.
Though not as much of a highlight as the guy making balloons in the street. Lyell got a "weiner dog" and Mason got a giraffe. We got the picture.
After that - we left the drinking and the carousing to the people younger than some of us - yet older than the rest of us. |
