This year - Halloween was a pretty big deal.  Lyell really understood what was going on - and was instrumental in helping to clean out the pumpkins and get them carved.

We think that they turned out pretty darn scary - what do you think?!

Well - then the glorious day came - and there were new challenges to overcome.  Like ringing the doorbell and saying "Trick or Treat" by yourself.  Lyell (dressed as a Park Ranger - hard to see the outfit as it was very cold) did a great job - and was well rewarded with numerous "Sneakers" (Snickers bars).

Mason (dressed an elephant) was also faced with something equally unique.  Maggie, our neighbor Sarah's dog came out in her costume, too! 

All in all - everyone had fun - and I think that we will be ready for an even more spirited Halloween next year.
