Going camping on a birthday party is good fun.  And to keep it fun, youve got to start with the rules, here articulated by the father.

And the next, probably more important ingredient is food.  Here stylishly displayed by the mother.  No, this is not a ladies tea-party in some elegant suburb - this is the campsite.

Once you have all that, youre set for the main attraction.  Fun.  Starting with a canoe out on our own little pond.

And resulting in 'treasures' (see Laura's right hand) collected from the pond.  Mmmm.

After that, a little relaxing time to chat by the campfire before dinner.

And then dinner.  Ive always said why cook when you can have the guests cook.  And these kids can roast a mean sausage over the campfire.

The next morning, back out into the pond.  Sure glad we didnt get a smaller canoe!
