We are delighted to announce the arrival of Mason Colbert Read.  The little fellow was born at 2:31am on Tuesday June 25th.  He weighed in at a solid 8 pounds 11 ounces and stands a proud 19.5 inches tall.  Mom, baby and dad are all doing well.  Lyell is not quite sure what hit him.

For those of you interested in a little color (please see picture below and excuse pun) on the process, we had to start with a beauty shot of Teri's belly, hours before the delivery of Mason.  No doubt that we were expecting a substantial child!

Here is Teri with Mason and Juliet, the nurse who stayed with us through the whole delivery.  She was wonderful and took great care of all of us.

And here is a shot of Lyell when I got home and told him that he is now a big brother.  If this were video, you would hear him saying "Heh - heh - that's funny dad - now lets be serious...".
