Spring has sprung, the grass has riz. I wonder where the birdies is. -Sylvester the Cat (Bugs Bunny)
And here in Bougy - more than just the grass has riz. Above is a field full of poppies just near Mason's school, up in time for Lyell's 7th birthday. No that is not a typo - he is really already seven full years old. 2,555 days. Its just amazing. And what did this 7-year old want for his birthday? A camouflage cake (left), a bunk bed (right) and a cool shirt with a shark on it (in both photos). Its pretty good being 7.
Beyond that - there is still much to report regarding happenings in May here in Bougy. There has been some significantly noisy construction in the living room.
And now both boys have taken solo voyages in the Read family canoe. Still with a 200' safety rope (in red - attached to the bow) but both of them got pretty far out into the lake.
Another big thing happened here in May. We eliminated all the training wheels in the house. Here Lyell struts his stuff - but Mason is a two-wheelin' man as well.
I don't know whether we are ready for the Tour de France, but we are getting mobile. As is evidenced from the two excited faces below, this is big stuff.
We hope your May was equally eventful. |
