We love National Parks.  For those of you who do not know, Lyell is named after Mt. Lyell which is the tallest peak in Yosemite National Park.  As a result we did plan portions of the trip around seeing some National Parks - both in Canada and in the United States:

We did include National Monuments in here because we cant understand the subtle distinction between what is a National Park and what is a National Monument.
