In a fit of bad judgment, I casually suggested to a couple of other families that we take a group camping trip. We rented the group camp site at Scenic Beach State Park, and arrived with nothing less than a final total of 10 children under the age of 5. Wow. There was a lot to do. Lyell did a great job of helping out of with the firewood.
There is nothing like the great outdoors to generate a big appetite. Erin favored the blueberries, while Sophia demonstrated her marshmellow roasting skills and quickly assembled a s'more.
Here the Harman family poses for a cover of "Outdoors Magazine". I am sure that you will see them on the October issue.
Mason, always the jokester, keeps the ladies entertained around the campfire.
And showing his sensitive side, presents a bouquet to his mother. Keep it up little fella, and I know that she will get you a car when you go to college.
Neal discovered the freedom of being on two wheels. Can you beat a smile like that?
But all the troops can take time out for a read of "The Little Engine That Could" with Teri by the campfire. If this isn't camping, then I don't know what is.
In retrospect, was it bad judgment? Well - even when it rained the last day - I would still have to say no. |
