Call us crazy - but we just could not bear to ring in the New Year on our own.  So - we asked a few friends from Lyell and Mason's school to come and help us celebrate.  It was quite a festive event, even if we celebrated at 7:00pm (midnight in Buenos Aires) to make sure that all the young people could join in.  There were professionally handcrafted party hats.

More than enough noise-makers.  And as you can see - some party horns as well... 

At a party like this - one of the most important questions is whether to eat, or whether to play with the trucks.  Kenji says "why choose"?!

Lyell and Sophie assemble even more party decorations.  It is hard to see - but these are candy canes fabricated from pipe cleaners.  Very innovative.  Even more festive!

Streamers - that can easily get caught up in little people's legs, and fortunately Zora comes to the rescue!

It is hard to imagine that in all the excitement, anyone was able to sleep, but Benjamin found the event ideal for getting a little shuteye.
