First stop, Olympia. Well - actually the pool at the Best Western in Olympia. Because for us northern Europeans (or at least Northern Californians), Greece in July is hot!
But after the sun starts to go down...
And a cold Mythos reaches the table, well...
...Greece starts to look really pretty good.
Thus refreshed, it was time to get up early, see the sites, take in some history, some culture. And perhaps avoid attack from the father.
Both boys did survive, but just barely. And then made it to Olympia. We had a run. W checked out the ruins. It was historical. It was cultural. And as you can see from Teri's hand, Suzie joined us as well.
From there, it was on to Elafonissos Island. Where we took this photo from our dinner table.
After that, onward for a little theater in Epidavros. Fortunately, it wasnt a tragedy.
And from there, we went to Eumelia, a self-supporting organic farm that also hosts guests/tourists. Here Frangiscos returns with the boys and TT from the chicken farm with fresh eggs!
It was a very quiet stop which was a good contrast to Athens...but we had more culture and history to take in. |
