The latest update here is pictures from Rainier.  I will take all the suspense out of it and just say that yes, we did make it to the top this year.  The weather was very kind to us.  Here we are on the summit - looking pretty darn fierce.  We get some nice pictures, both on the way up to Camp Muir, and on the climb to the summit.
