Sailing Camp

OK - lets be really honest.  Photos of sailing camp are, to the untrained and perhaps normal eye, not very exciting.  And so I could have easily sufficed with say this photo:

Both boys, nice breeze, the Swiss shore in the background.  But no.  I had to have a couple of close-ups of both boys at the helm.

Smiles no extra charge.

And well - while Im posting - why not a quickie series on capsizing practice?  For those of you thinking of heading out on a Laser this summer, Lyells technique is quite good, and so you can definitely consider these educational.

Of course its not enough to educate one brother - the other has to be able to right his boat should the need present itself.  Apparently the need presented itself.

From there - why not move to the big time?  Turtling.

Hmm - well dad - I got it upside down - now what do I do?!

And now that capsizing isnt so scary, its a lot more fun to see what the boat can actually do.  And see how it tips.

Whoee - look - Im still dry.  Well sort of.

This one I think can only be captioned "I Love My Boat".

Dont go to sleep up there big fella - she'll be turtled in a minute.
And you loyal visitors.  No sleeping for you either.  The sailing camp update is complete.
