We are diligent people. Which means that when an island like Paros sports a variety of good beaches, we have to try them all. So the next day, off we went to Santa Maria beach. We had seen it from the sailboat and knew that it would be good. So we got set up in our own little slice of heaven.
But then the work started. We picked a rock off the beach that needed a sand castle. Lyell filled the buckets with sand from the beach.
Mason provided the ferry service with the raft, bringing loaded buckets out to the rock and returning with the empties.
And I would receive the shipment, and build. Heres the work in progress.
And heres the worker in progress.
More sand, more buckets and more castles...
With of course time for a little break!
And by the time it was all done - we had one of the most unusual sand castles that I think Santa Maria beach has ever seen!
Great work, men.
