Skiing and Sledding

When we finally saw white stuff in the air, we wasted no time getting out the gear.  The first gear to come out were the sleds.

And if you are going to sled - forget that little golf course run.  Les Diablerets offers a 7km (thats 4 miles for the rest of us) sled run that is serviced by its own lift.  Thats right - you don't have to climb, and you can sled for about a half hour without stopping.  Thats why you see the smile on TTs face below.

And once we were done with that - we wanted to keep going.  The boys found a smallish hill where they proceeded to sled for another 2 hours easily.  It was so exhausting we had to go straight for fondue afterwards.

The next day, we went back to the gear closet and found some other things we had not seen for a while.  Skiis!  As you can see, everyone is happy to be back on the snow.  And no, Lyell didnt lose that front tooth in a skiing accident.   It feel out of completely natural causes.  Really.

Finally, a bonus!  This is Mason's self-portrait.  He had to create one for admission to his new (Lyell's current) school.  I wonder whether this will help his case or hurt it?!
