The end of the year brought a flurry of visitors to Bougy. November started with Sarah and her friend John. Not one to miss an opportunity for a little physical conditioning, he drops and "does 50" with the big guy. A few reps of that, and he'll be the next governor of California!
But relatives were not the only flurry we received. The snow came early and the boys - as you can clearly see - were disappointed. Not!
And as the flurry continued, Jules and Bill showed up to help us celebrate Thanksgiving. It is, of course, my favorite holiday. Not just because we visited Turkey earlier this year, but because its all about eating. Here we are warming up for the big event with pizza in Leukerbad.
But even we need to get outside for a little breather between courses - so we went to the St. Bernard museum in Martigny. Jules wanted to take one of these little fellas home.
As did Lyell. I think that Lyell's choice at least would be a little easier on the slobber factor. It also made me smile that we were going to see stuffed St. Bernards on Thanksgiving. Wait - there's something wrong about that.
Well - the weather kept up - and the flurries kept rolling right into Christmas.... |
