So - whats happening when we are not tackling the slopes of Tignes?  Well - chocolate chip cookies for one thing.  Lyell has his Uncle's hand on the mixmaster, for sure.

There is always work to be done outside.  As soon as the snow flies, these two emerge for everything from building, to burrowing...

To clearing the snow off the front terrace and dumping it down onto the driveway.  Progress?  You make the call.

And speaking of progress - there is always a construction project going on.  Maybe progress isnt the right word though.  This one tied up the stairs for a good month.  Yikes.

And just to prove that theres an intellectual element here at Household Read - reading sets in once all the activity has exhausted the body.

I had to include this photo just because of the absolute irony of it.  True confessions.  Our living room looks like a LEGO exhibition in the making.  So its just amazing to imagine that at the store these two would sit down and oggle even more of the precious bricks. 

But winter doesnt last long.  Its off and onto a plane for Egypt next!
