In case you are one of the few who has yet to experience the Scottish glory of Braveheart (I know that all you ladies watched for the shots of Mel in a kilt), this is the place.  Urquhart Castle.  With a soon-to-be Mel Gibson clansman in the foreground.

Its a fantastic ruin, with some of it renovated so you can go into it....or get locked up in it.  But wait - I thought the dungeon was in the basement.

It being Scotland, a place out of the rain was a real premium.

But with a moment in the clear - the B-Team tried again for that holiday shot.  Looks like its going to be a close call this year!

Lyell went down to the battlefield and tried to crank up the trebuchet.  He heard there had been someone shelling peasants from the castle, and he wanted to return fire.

Of course Urquhart is on Loch Ness.  And we spend a lot of time gazing out at the Loch, looking for Nessie.  We didn't see anything more than a few powerboats.  But we did have a sighting (and a climbing!) in the gift shop parking lot.  So...Nessie does exist!
