As Americans, we like to think that we do a pretty good job getting out in the world.  Experiencing new things, learning new cultures and growing through the experiences.  But there is one destination that always seems to top the "revisit" list.  And while its easy to think of Vernazza as a tourist town - we like to think that we have been there enough so that we can look out from our window above the square and watch the tourists in the way that the natives do.

Also, we can share some of our favorite aspects of the Cinque Terra with our friends, and thats nice too.

And to keep these little visits from causing us to grow too much around the midsection, we also make it a point to get out and do a little swimming.  Oh - and showing off those muscles afterwards.

And as you compare our Maine canoe with the little Italian fishing vessels, you know that we are not in immediate danger of being mistaken for locals.

But after a couple more visits - who knows?  Ciao!
