We Love Bougy

On the way home today, Teri and I took count, and the village of Bougy-Villars has had more than one party for each month we have lived here.  On one hand, we feel badly we have not documented all these parties.  But on the other hand there is generally a great deal of wine involved, so its probably just as well.  Here, Pere Noel arrives in Bougy-Villars.  The children must sing him a song or tell him a poem in order for a treat.  The Read boys went with "Jingle Bells".

And it seems to have done the trick.  Here they are with their loot.  Next year its gonna have to be something in French.

Quite remarkably, the village also goes up into the woods and cuts a Christmas tree for any residents that request one, at no charge!  Wow - finally my tax dollars being put to work for something useful!  (Im hoping the US government is monitoring this site).  Anyway - here we are with our beautiful Bougy tree, all decorated.

And another good thing about Bougy-Villars; its not far from the snow.  The next day, we drove up to St. Cergue to try out our sleds and snowshoes.  The boys were champs on the snowshoes - it was really quite impressive.

Well - I guess we're all ready for Christmas now...
